Godly dating or Recreational dating?

First, every Disciple, Believer, Christian must fully believed the “sufficiency” and “inerrancy” of the Scripture. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We know that we can’t find anywhere in the Scripture the word “Dating”, but there are many principles to learn and live. For me. the main source or the greatest answer of all is, the understanding and knowledge of what God has done for us in his Son Jesus Christ. The Gospel! What is love? My favorite love verse, This is Love: That HE loved us. (1 John 4:10) And Scripture says, “We love.. because what? We love because He [God] “first” loved us! (1 John 4:19) That’s the only reason, you love because God loved you first through Jesus!

Now a person who is regenerated by the Spirit of God, (John 3:8) Having cleansed, new heart and spirit. (Ezekiel 36:26-27) He is a new creature, old has gone the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17) Therefore everything in his life must be guided and live in the context of the gospel of Jesus.

We, [Disciple, Believer, Christian] have freedom, “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) As far as the “Dating” is concerned? Someone says, “I want to go out with her so that I can know her well!” a man of God answered, “You mean, you have to date all of your friends [girls] just for you to know them.” A man of God says, “Dating”? as “Recreational Dating” There is biblical courtship, there is no recreational dating. For me I can define “Godly Dating” should be as a group, “fellowship of the Believers” (Acts 2:42-47) That’s godly dating! You cannot date or go out with someone with the opposite sex unless you are in a legal relationship, most of all having the parent’s blessing and consent.

I will quote this from man of God, If you ask, ” ‘When can I start thinking about someone of the opposite sex?’ Well you can start thinking whenever the thought comes to you, the question is when you can start acting. When then can we start even courtship? I said, first of all, the only time you ever think about being with a girl is because you feel like the Lord is leading you into marriage with that girl. This is when you can first begin to initiate the dealings that lead to a relationship. This is when you can begin: When as a young man you can biblically lead a girl as a spiritual leader. Until that moment, you cannot be with anyone of the opposite sex.

Emotionally you can care for her – that means you’re willing to make a life-long commitment and not test the waters with any other person. Financially you can care for her: if dad’s still paying the insurance on your car, forget about it…. And physically protect her – that doesn’t mean you can whoop every guy in the county, but it does mean you will be whooped by every guy in the county before you allow anyone to pass, that you have enough moral fortitude and courage to draw a line in the sand and say, ‘Over my cold, dead, blue, deformed body will you do that.’

…I love hunting and…I have some Wikki(sp?) Eskimo broad-heads at home. They’re very, very sharp, they’re two-bladed, so they have to be very, very sharp. And I have a little wrench that I use to put those broad-heads onto the arrow shaft, because you don’t even want to put your hand on the side of them because if you slip, they’ll slice your finger off. Now, I have a 3 year old boy and I built a hickory bow for him. He’s got a little arrow that he shoots and it has a blunt, wooden tip on the end of it – wont penetrate much. Except his little brother’s eye, but… Sometimes I’ll be those arrow-heads off and on and my little boy Ian will come up there and he’ll want to touch the arrows, and I’ll say, No son, you can’t. These arrows that your dad can handle – they’ll kill you. Now one day, son, you’ll be man enough to handle these arrows, and you can hunt like a big boy. You can hunt like a man. But you’ve got a lot of growing before you can do that. One of the greatest problems, young men, that we have today, is that a lot of young men are wanting to play with big boy toys. And yet they’re still little boys.

You see, we don’t want to pay the price of becoming a man in order to do men things. The bible says, Become a man, and God will lead you into the ways of a man.

“One of the most terrifying thing a man can do is to take to him a daughter of God, without assuming the full responsibility of it!”

The Gospel of Jesus Christ: The God Who Sees Us!

This status caught my attention, “I’m pretty sure that in [God’s eyes], [all of us] are as [cute and adorable] as this baby!”

I’m not concern with the baby, in fact he’s indeed cute and adorable. But my concern is in the statement it says, “God’s eyes” and “All of us”. Let’s look on the Truth and Light of the Scripture. First, [God’s eyes] “Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing.” (Habakkuk 1:13) Second, [All of us] “There is no one righteous, not even one;..”for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:10,23) Do you see the problem? How can a holy [God’s eyes] look on [All of us] favorably as though we are like [cute and adorable] baby?“For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong; you destroy those who tell lies.”  (Psalms 5:4-6) “God is a righteous judge, a God who displays his wrath every day.” (Psalms 7:11) How can we put these things together? How can we get right with God? How can He look on us favorably if He is holy, righteous, and just?

The answer is this; God made a way to show His unconditional love, grace and mercy through his Son Jesus by this, (The Gospel)

“being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
(Romans 3:24-26)

God can look on us favorably through His Son Jesus who died for our sin, was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scripture (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). What now? “God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, and believe the Gospel!” (Acts 17:30, Mark 1:15)
